When I make meatloaf with turkey, I use a different recipe from The Joy of Cooking, although using half turkey sausage sounds intriguing. I've never used oatmeal for the crumbs, but I might have to try that sometime.Lainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00592761646062374694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950420420451473537.post-71987069986070648942009-11-24T08:38:33.119-06:002009-11-24T08:38:33.119-06:00We use that recipe as well, but instead of 1.5 lbs...We use that recipe as well, but instead of 1.5 lbs ground beef, I use .75 lbs ground turkey and .75 lbs ground turkey sausage. (I tripled the recipe and froze a bunch of meatloaf mixes before Connor was born.) Oh, and I'm a fan of oatmeal instead of breadcrumbs (add enough until you get a good consistency, usually 2-3 handfuls). I might add a few more seasonings too, and onion... Ok, so I kind of use this recipe :)Nicky McElfreshnoreply@blogger.com
